Why Moms Make the Best Realtors

At Motus our team is built up of highly motivated and talented people. It’s no surprise that almost half of the team are mothers. Moms make wonderful real estate agents because the skills they refine in motherhood are used every single day during the home buying and selling process.

These skills include patience, the ability to multi-task, and that they can remain calm in difficult or stressful situations.

We asked some of the moms on our team to explain why they think being a realtor and being a mom go hand in hand and their experience with the Motus team. Here’s what they said:

“Moms make really great Realtors.  We are great at multi-tasking and really shine under pressure.  On top of that, we understand that purchasing a home is an emotional decision and we are really astute at helping other women navigate thru the process.

At other times in my professional career, I was made to feel like having children would make me a less desirable hire, like somehow creating a tiny human would make it impossible for me to be really great at my career.  I have found the exact opposite to be true.  Being a Mom is the reason I work so hard for my clients.  I want my daughters to be proud of me, I want my clients that are mothers to know that I understand and that I am fighting for them.  I really want other women that want to start families to know that they can chase their dreams and be part of something really big.  I am so grateful that we created Motus.  The three men that I partnered with to build Motus are amazingly supportive of me as a mom and I so thankful for them.”
